Q: 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 or 2011 Toyota Tundra?
So without being an enthusiast/elitist, based off of personal knowledge or research etc, which do you think would be the better buy? Price isn’t as much the issue over quality and reliability. I’m soon to be in the market for one or the other, so any info would be great!

A: Get the Ram. toyota trucks aren’t know to be the best out there, with weak frames/tailgates and thin metal. look at reviews about them and find out for yourself. the new Ram is fantastic as well as its ride with coil rear springs which the tundra, silverado, and f150 don’t have. the tundra is the truck for posers

A: 2010 just bought for $37k. has nav, dvd, running boards, trd package, sunroof, crewmax. sticker was $42k.

A: Toyota for sure. Jeep’s have HORRIBLE gas mileage, plus they brake down a lot.

if i where to put 4,000 down on a toyota tundra 2011 when it comes out when im 16 will i be able to get it if not what would i have to do ?

A: You cannot sign a contract on buying a car until you’re 18. You cannot sign any contract until you’re 18.

Q: Adding a sound system to a truck on payments?
Can i add a sound system to my 2011 toyota tundra thats on payments.
It’s not leased or anything but i am paying per month and was wondering
if anybody has put sound systems on their cars while on payments.
Does it void your warranty or something? I just want to make sure because i dont
want to void my warranty or get in trouble or something with the dealership.

A: i started adding stereo equipment to my last new car when it had 63 miles on it.
the only things you will void the warranty on are the things you touch. so if you change the stereo the stereo is not under warranty any more.but the rest of the truck is still warrantied.

Q: How much money is good for a downpayment on a new truck?
I’m planning on buying a 2010 or 2011 toyota tundra soon. I’ll be spending right around 35000 on it. Im planning on putting a down payment of about 10000. What are my benefits? Do I have a higher chance of being approved to finance the truck?

I am 19, have a really good high paying job, about a year and a half of credit history, two small loans (which I’m fully paying off before I buy the truck).

A: It’s good that you have been saving money. Verrrry smart. Also good that you’re paying off the other loans first. It would be best if you bought a truck that’s 2 or 3 years old and paid cash for it in full. Then you’d have no payments and could save tons of money for future needs. The decreased value of the truck in the first 2 years is huge. If you must buy newer, and decide to finance it, pay about half as a down payment and finance for only 3 years so you’ll never owe more than the truck is worth as is depreciates.
