Q: Does the Hummer H2 need a commercial plate in NYS?
I have a passenger car now, and I have personalized plates. Will they transfer to the Hummer, or does the H2 need commercial plates in NYS?
Additional: I am asking because I am not quite sure how things work in New York. I know that even small pick up trucks need a commercial plate, so logically when I compare the size of an H2 to a little pick up . . .

Q: How much is buying a decent Hummer H2 year 07 or 08 with miles in the 40 K – 50 K range. From the auction?
I am planning on buying one and I need to know the price range so I would know what to expect.

A: 40K-50K for a 1 or 2 year old vehicle is a lot of miles. Price depends a lot on the options, etc. Get a bluebook value for lowest wholesale price and deduct another 15% for mileage. Then negotiate up from there, but I wouldn’t go above high wholesale price because of the mileage and unknown problems.

I got the 08 lux edition. There is a button that looks like a rewind symbol on the remote, and that should be remote start. I’ve tried pressing it twice, pressing it together with the unlock key…but I can’t figure out how to use it.

A: The proper procedure is to press the lock button and then within two seconds press the start button and hold it for a few seconds. Do not press both buttons at the same time.

Q: How can I wire my head unit in to a 2003 Hummer H2 without a harness?
My main problem is getting power to the head unit. I checked the fuses under the hood and its fine. Any ideas thank you. *The reason im not using a harness is becuse bestbuy said they dont make them, and dont worry about the onstar.*

A: that is a very bad idea and yes they make the harness also there is no ignition on the wiring and there is a wire with data

your vehicle will have some serius pproblems if you don’t use the harness and the guy from ebay don’t know nothing

Q: How much would a 6 inch lift cost on a 2007 Hummer H2 SUT?
I am not sure how all of this works. I would also want some bigger off-road tires and nice (black) rims to go with this. Install too.. Any ballpark estimate on what this would run?

A: well you have two options. get the largest wheel/tire combo that will fit on your hummer without rubbing, remember the whole tire assembly moves up and down when you go over bumps, so it might look like you have enough room when its sitting there but maybe not when driving. if you want to go bigger you are looking to spend a couple of grand in a lift kit plus a grand in labor.

wheels and tires are probably not going to be less than 1000 since they are so big, but you could spend up to 5000 on wheel and tires.

if you get larger wheels you might have to buy upgraded brakes because you have more mass rotating and the stock brakes weren’t designed to handle that stress

Q: how do i get my ipod to work on my Hummer H2 06?
Ive tried to get the music since it has the connector built in but I cant seem to hear anything… What are the stations i need to use.
