Q: help pricing a jeep wrangler for sale?
its a 1992 jeep wrangler hard top, 4 cyl, 5 speed manual, 140,000 miles and oil was changed every 3,000 miles. Does anyone have any estimates of what this is worth?.. also it has a trailer hitch, i don’t know if that makes a difference though.

A: The 4 cyl is Slooooow!! Just to let you know. It actually gets less MPG than the 4.0 inline 6 because it’s way more pounds per horsepower. As stated above go to kbb.com and get the value. Check the frame and fender wells for rust.

A: I’ve been looking online for my mother a car. I’ve found 100’s at Yahoo just in her city alone. Go to yahoo home page and click on Auto. You can put in your zipcode, kind of vehicle, price range, age, mileage, most any thing you need to find a vehicle, you can also go like within 5 or 10 miles of your area. I think it’s fantastic. They’ll show vehicles at local dealers plus any that might be available from individuals.

A: Do a search for “jurassic park jeep” at www.JeepForum.com. A few people there have documented the process they went through to buy a Jeep and make it look like the Jurassic Park ones. Some look very nice and authentic.

I think I saw one for sale on eBay once, but don’t expect to find one for sale.

A: For $6K out the door, a late 1980s or very early 1990s Wrangler with 200K miles is about all you can hope for. If you find something less used in the price range, there is something wrong with it. Have it checked out by a mechanic before you buy. Wranglers hold their resale better than anything this side of Lexus, and they bottom out at around $5,000–and that’s for something with serious known mechanical problems.

A: Well you gave no zip code so it’s hard to search for one within 200 miles of New York, because New York is a big state. Regardless, finding a 1997-1999 Wrangler for 3,000 will be very hard. That’s a particular car, and a very low price. Next I’d also suggest adding the range of mileage you’re aiming for.

Q: How much schould i pay for a 4 door 2007-2009 Jeep wrangler private sale?
I am in Alberta and im looking to purchase a jeep 4 door unlimited. I was gonna buy new but by the time it was all said n done it would have been 32000+ for a manual 2009 sahara 6 months ago. I want to buy private and get a good deal but it seems as though people do not want to lower their asking prices. Some people offer a 2009 fully loaded automatic sahara for 29000 with 40000km on it. How much should i expect to pay or where should i start my asking price? Is it better to take over a lease? Thank you for your suggestions in advance.

Q: Does anyone know how much it costs to unlift a jeep wrangler?
I live in a snowy area so I can’t have it too high. I saw a jeep for sale and everything is perfect other than that so I was wondering if it’s worth buying it if it’s not going to be too expensive.

A: Essentially it would cost about as much to “unlift” it as it cost to lift it. You’ll be buying a number of original parts and hardware that was replaced with the lift kit at least…

Q: 1991 jeep wrangler “Slant 6″ engine?
I fouund and excellent 1991 jeep wrangler for sale but, it has a “slant 6″ engine, never heard of it, has anyone ever encountered this?? Is it a good engine

A: The Slant 6 is an old Dodge engine. It’s a sturdy, low-revving design which is nearly bullet-proof. Did somebody swap this into the Jeep? I don’t think they were made like that.
Are you sure it’s not the Jeep 4.0 L in-line six? That’s also a good engine, I’ve heard.
