Q: how low from msrp should igo on a 2011 kia forte?
i want to buy the 2011 kia forte EX with the technology package, the msrp is $20,840 my question is how low should i go on the negotiation? Pls help!!!!!!
A: They won’t bargain off the price any more than the current ads in the newspaper. See what their biggest discount is in the ads and use that as a guide. Probably $18,500.
Q: Kia Forte Koup or 2011 Kia Optima Hybrid?
Im getting one, but which should i choose? Base it on looks too
A: optima
Q: Are Kia Automobiles Reliable?
I always drove Hyundai cars, but I don’t really like their offerings for 2011. I’m considering a 2011 Kia Forte. Opinions?
A: The Forte was designed by former Audi designer Peter Schreiber and gets generally great reviews from the automotive press. It is, however, a new model and MAY be subject to some new model glitches. Some critics also say it is not quite up to the standards of a Civic or Corolla…but the differences aren’t significant. Kia and Hyundai are the same company and you’ll get the same 10 year/100K warranty. Kia has a ginourmous new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in West Point, Georgia although production is just ramping up and I’m not certain that the Forte is built there at this point. I looked at the Forte at the Phoenix Auto Show on Friday and was very impressed.
Q: does kia make good, reliable cars?
im getting my first car in a few months, and im considering the 2011 kia forte. I want a reliable car, that i can have fun with. my other options are the 2011 subaru legacy, and the 2011 mazda 3. is the forte fun/easy to drive, reliable, and just all around enjoyable? are they cheap, or built nicely? the reason im considering them is that they are a bit cheaper than the subaru and mazda. experiences, links, and anything else you have are all appreciated. oh, and please, please, PLEASE dont leave an answer telling me to get a used car, my parents are worried a used car might not be safe, so i dont really have the option.
A: My daughter has a 1996 kia Sephia with 120,000 miles on it. Still runs great and the paint is still good. I’ve seen way newer cars with the paint coming off.
Kia uses Hyundai motors.
Q: Is Kia Motors really going out of business in 2011?
i recently read this article
http://247wallst.com/2010/06/15/247-wall-st-ten-brands-that-will-disappear-in-2011/5/
after dealer at Mitsubishi store gave me this same info… before i was considering to finance Kia Forte Koup SX. Now it looks like terms can change…
A: The other two answers are spot on, but just to clarify a bit: Kia Motors isn’t really a company, it’s just a Hyundai brand, slotted in a little below Hyundai in price. For years Kia and Hyundai have been competing for the same buyers with pretty much the same cars (Optima and Sonata, for example). Ford recently announced that they are doing away with Mercury and will just focus on Ford and Lincoln going forward, and Hyundai is considering doing the same thing apparently.
The bottom line is if you do buy the Forte, you will have no problems getting service, any Hyundai dealer can work on that car even today, and definitely going forward. The Mitsubishi guy is just trying to scare you so you’ll buy a Lancer instead of the Forte.
Q: Which one of these cars should i get?
1. Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2010
2. Hyundai Elantra Avante 2011
3. Kia Forte Koup
4. Kia Soul
5. Mazda 2
A: since imma speed demon, i would go with da Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2010, great drive and its pretty good for the price 300bhp under the hood.
Q: how do you talk a dealer down on a new car?
im trying to trade my 2010 kia forte koup premium package for a 2011 kia serento because im expecting and my boyfriend has two kids and we have two dogs… there just isnt enough room. im trying to talk my sales man down. i havent went to the dealership yet though. if i have to settle for a 2010 i will since its the end of the year and i know they need to get rid of that model
o and right now i only have 6K miles on my car. its like new in great condition.
and i owe 17k on it still
A: if you are financing a car, there is little room for talking a dealer down, he knows he is getting his money, he makes money, by being willing to wait for his end every month. If you can get a few hundred off, thats about the best you will get any dealer to do, keep in mind, these people spend a life time figuring out how to get your money in thier pocket. They expect you to be too busy, and too tired to spend 8 hours or more to negotiate a deal (large dealer ships will set up attractive areas for people to sit, then bug them, to listen to what is being said. So keeping your mouth shut about a car is a good plan. Once a dealer knows you have established a connection to the car you like, he has you by the short hairs, and he knows it.
when dealing in cash, you can get usually 5 percent off the msrp, but if you are like the rest of us and financing, you are pretty much stuck where the dealer wants you to be, Or plan on spending 8 hours, and try bashing the price down and see what happens, there are a few things, for example always buy a car the last few days of the month. dealers bills are due on the first, so any car on the lot that day, he has to pay the bank for. Most dealers are owned by the bank, and have to answer to requests for updates on inventory, to verify sales expectations, or projections. It is one big money game, and you are the bread and butter.
Q: Help me chose a car please! if you don’t like my choices suggest some different cars too please!!?
O.K. currently I drive a 2001 Chevrolet Astro van AWD. I got the van when I had 3 small children, now the children are more grown up and are embarrassed to be seen in the van and I don’t need something this big anymore. I want something with decent gas mileage. My children’s ages are: 16, 14, and 9. I have looked at the 2010 Chevy Equinox, the 2010 Subaru Outback, the 2010 Subaru Legacy, the 2010 Toyota Rav4, the 2010 Honda Fit, the 2010 Kia Forte, and the 2011 Chevy Cruze. there are things I like and love about each of these cars, I will say what I like and hopefully you can give me a suggestion, or suggest a new car. for the 2010 equinox (AWD) that the gas mileage in the city is only 20 mpg. for the subaru outback I don’t like the fact that it is a wagon. for the 2010 subaru legacy I don’t like the fact that its a car because I prefer sitting up higher. for the 2010 Rav4 it is because I’m not sure how much legroom is in the second and third row. for the honda fit it is because it is small and I’m not sure how much legroom it has. I am also not sure how small the kia forte is either. The chevy cruze is a vehicle I do not know too much about though.
I want something with good safety ratings because my 16 & 14 year old are going to be driving. I also prefer AWD because I live where there are a lot of hills and snow. AWD isn’t required I would just prefer it. A third row seat would be nice, but because most vehicles with good gas mileage don’t have a third row I will do without.
Also I like the Toyota Avalon, do u know how I could find something like that with a little better gas mileage?
The reason I didn’t pick the Subaru Forester is because of its MPG. the version I would be getting has an EPA estimated 20 city 26 highway mpg. while the version of the Chevy Equinox I would be getting gets 20/29! The Subaru Outback gets 22/29 and the Subaru Legacy gets 23/31! I am simply looking for something more fuel efficient than a forester.
A: I’m going to be honest I’ve owned fords for the last 20yrs. Recently we had issues with ford and decided to end our relationship with ford. We were looking at Nissan’s and Toyota’s but really didn’t find anything we fell in love with. I told my wife lets go look at the Subaru Forrester and she looked at me like I was crazy. So we headed to the Subaru dealer and test drove the Forrester. The Forrester drove pretty good but my wife didn’t like the way the front of the car looked. Then something caught her eye the 2010 outback the last one on the lot but right before we got to test drive someone bought it. A week later they got another one in so we went and test drove it, lets just say its probably one of the best cars I’ve ever driven. We traded our piece of crap ford in and I’ve had no regrets. Actually Motor Trend named the outback sport utility of the year and I have to agree with them. I thought I would never own a Subaru but through research and test driving I thing I will only own Subaru for now on. I have a 11yr daughter, she likes the outback so much she wants it when she turns 16 so I don’t think your kids would be embarrassed since it is considered a wagon. Best thing my insurance went down, maybe because the car has a 5star rating.
Q: Which car should my son drive?
My son recently sold his 2005 Toyota Celicia (looked like this)—> http://www.mcautocreations.com/BodyAndPaint/cELICA%2011%202%2005%20(2).jpg and bought a 2010 Red Kia Forte Koup http://www.kia.com/#/forte-koup/explore/ but now he wants to get a 2010 Red Mazda3 4-Door instead http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/selectTrimsTools.action?hiddenVehicleCode=M3S&hiddenModelCode=&hiddenUnformattedmsrp=&modelCode=M3S++S+++P++&vehicleCode=M3S&buttonAction=config.tools.colors&modelYear=2010&cab=S&transmission=6-Speed+Manual
So should he drive the Kia or the Mazda?
Yes, he should. He is 21 years old and has had his license since he was 16 years old.
A: lol the Mazda looks like it is smiling.
Myself would have the Celica but the Kia which he has looks good, the Mazda looks funny and my friends have the previous Mazda 3 which has less miles than my trainers has been an terriable car with major faults to which what a suprise the warrenty does not cover almost as if they knew, sporty wise i find the Mazda 3 sporty if you have driven small cc low power sporty cars before, then it does seem sporty but power wise on the older model was said to be fast and as said to some it prob would be if you have come from a 1.2L engine before.
Q: I don’t know which car to buy for my first car?
