A: I don’t know. I couldn’t find any so I bought a new 2007 FIT. It is cute but really not enough car and doesn’t get anywhere the gas mileage they promised. I can’t wait to unload it and get something bigger than a lawnmower. I will never buy Honda again.

A: No idea but be careful when a honda has modifications, you will probably spend $2,000 fixing bad pieces, usually the clutch is bad or the engine does not run right.

Q: Should I buy a 1993 Honda Civic Hatchback?
I found a 1993 Honda Civic Hatchback for sale at $1700. It has 230,000 miles on it, but the owner claims it has been meticulously taken car of by replacing many parts under the hood that usually go bad after reaching such high mileage. I’m a college student that drives mostly on the highway and in need of a car with great gas mileage, which it has. And the exterior seems to be in okay shape for the year. He is asking $1700 but is willing to negotiate. Any advice on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

A: i managed to get a 93 civic sedan with only 55k on hte stock motor and trans, for only 2000. i love how people think their hondas are made of gold or something. keep looking you can find one with half the miles for maybe 2500 and the person willing to negotiate… just remeber no matter the asking price cash talks

A: check craigslist i always see lot of SI’s on the inland empire craigslist, not sure about the hatch version though. Just be careful what you buy though because a lot of them are cars that have been beat up by their previous owners and when they are about to break they sell them so it becomes your problem. Make sure whatever car you buy has a good service record with proof (i.e. receipts) and check the CarFax report (altho that doesn’t always include 100% of accidents/problems the car was involved in)

A: yes, DONT BUY A SALVAGE TITLE VEHICLE.

After my car was in an accident, it wasn’t salvaged, but after it was fixed up professionally, it never drove the same again. Buying a car that has been in an accident is an unsure thing. It could’ve been a really good repair job, or a really crappy one, worst of all, the body work is never EVER the same again, no matter how good the repair man was.

I suggest you look into an older model that has a CLEAR title. The last thing you need is a car breaking down on you, or bodywork on the car falling off.
