Q: Why is my Mini Cooper making noise after I turn it off?
I have recently noticed that my mini cooper has been making a noise that sounds kind of like a vacuum after the car is off. I have not noticed this until recently and I am wondering why this is happening, not all the time but sometimes. Also I want to know if this is a big problem that I need to get checked by a mechanic or a small issue.

A: if you worried about the cost of tyres and servicing for the squashed up beetle (audi tt), that means you cant afford it,,

Q: How can you take out a city bus with a mini cooper?
The story goes my friend was driving to the mall. She was making a turn, she didn’t see the bus and she hit it. The bus was totally and the mini cooper got only slight dings and a slight crush on the side but still repairable. How did she manage to do that? She wasn’t drinking or anything and she swears she was paying attention (rolls eyes). Have you ever been in a really bad car accident?

A: She probably hit a weak spot on the bus and hit it with a part of her mini that is reinforced. Well, whatever that means on a mini, I mean, this is a mini.

The worst accident was when my x’s car was hit by a stupid taxi…… also driven by a man. I was a passenger and ended up with bruised ribs.

Q: Will I be able to get the Mini Cooper in the color I want?
If I go to buy a new mini cooper and they dont have the color i want, what will happen?

Will they get the car with the color i want from another dealer or am I stuck choosing from what is on the lot?

A: If it is a BRAND NEW car you are buying then demand the colour you want. If they try to fob you off with another colour then walk out saying you will go to the other dealership , (there’s always another dealership). They will find you your colour, You choose the spec, the colour, trim and everything when buying new. If they don’t have it they will get it ordered for you.

Q: What are the best upgrades I can make to my MINI Cooper S?

Is the John Cooper Works Package worth it?
Where can i find info on parts and such for MINIs? Is there a website or magazine?

A: I’ve read differing opinions, some say the package is entirely worth it, others say that it isn’t really justifiable for the price. But the majority have been in favor or it.
You won’t see a huge increase in performance figure (0-60, top speed) but you will gain a large amount of horsepower.
For the price you get a lot, I’m sure it would cost more to get comparable equipment on a piece by piece basis.
If I had a Mini, I’d opt for the package.

Q: How many weeks did you wait for mini cooper?
I ordered mini cooper ‘09 model last wednesday, which is august 27th.
I know it varies between each cases, but how long it took for your mini cooper?
Dealer said it will take 8 to 10 weeks but is there anyone took longer or shorter than 8 to 10 weeks?

Q: Would you recommend a mini cooper as a good car?
I drive a 2003 vw Beetle so much stuff has happened to my car. everytime i turn around the check engine light its on.. worse part i just got the car last MAY and EVERYMONTH i’m in the repair shop gettin my car worked on. I was looking into earlier a mini cooper are the cars pretty good? Do they require alot of repairs like Vw’s?

A: I had a Mini Cooper S for two years and loved every second of it. The synthetic oil makes the oil changes required only every 7-10,000 miles.

One drawback is that MINI suggests only fueling with premium gasoline so it can get a bit expensive.

I never had to take my MINI in for service beyond the typical checkups and fluid changes.

The fold-down seats are a nice benefit; without them, the “trunk” is nearly useless.

Q: About what is a good price for this Mini Cooper?
I’m looking at a 2004 Chili Red Mini Cooper with about 60,000 miles on it. Its automatic transmission and in overall good condition. What would be a reasonable price for this vehicle in your opinion?
Also, the car has never been in an accident, had a reposession, title issues, or anything of that nature.

A: id say 10k to 14k the max resail price (good one at least) is about 16k so maybe. if its not as good 7k. if i were you i would ask $9500 and see what he says

Q: What do you like or hate about your mini cooper?
I would like to purchase a mini cooper probably an S class and perhaps used? I have had the priveldge of driving one for 2 weeks now and in love BUT I want to hear from other drivers if they have expereinced other issues and what not.

A: I have an 07 Cooper S Conv with JCW. Had it since last July with no problems other than to get both my sons and their football equipment in. :)

It’s a scream to drive and impossible to drive without smile on your face. The ride can be a little firm, esp. on bumpy roads.
Maintenance is free for the first 3 years too. I’ve only been to one dealer for an oil service and they’ve been great.

If you do get one – get used to people coming up to you in parking lots, stop lights, etc, asking you about the car. :)

A: I would expect you could buy one from England. Just what I would like to.

Q: Is it a good idea to buy a Mini Cooper with high mileage?
I used to have a Mini Cooper, and I drove it up until 75,000(ish) miles. I never had any problems with the engine/transmission, or anything of that sort. While they are expensive to maintain as far as new tires and wheel alignments, and even oil changes, I was wondering if it’s a good idea to buy a Mini Cooper with mileage between 70,000-100,000+ just because I’m on quite the budget, like the rest of the world.

Q: How do you like your mini cooper?
I REALLY want a mini cooper, but i wanna know how good the gas mileage is, and if its unconvienent, and what you love, and hate about it.

A: Absolutely love it.

The mileage I get depends on how well I observe the speed limits! lol Usually around the high 20’s. 28 maybe. Understand, I have a 2006 Cooper S-JCW. It’s a rocketship with all the factory go fast goodies installed., so that particular model isn’t the best for fuel economy.

I’m 6′7″ and have plenty of room. Even wearing a helmet when I autocross.

There really isn’t anything I hate about it. It’s exactly what I expected it to be. Quick, nimble, safe. It scored higher than a Ford F-150 truck in head to head crash tests.
